Description
It is a 14" x 4" steel snare drum made by
SPL (Sound
Percussion Labs) of London. I would guess it was made back in the 1960's or thereabouts. It is used, but in very good condition, and ready to play. It has the
normal single lever for throwing off the snares. It has an throwing off the snares. It has an
internal damping pad under the top (batter) head, which is both switchable and adjustable for damping pressure.
This means there is no need for external damping rings, and the drum works well with single ply heads.
The drum has been sensitively used and well loved
