Selling our collections (hoards) of mostly French vintage items that have been acquired over many years until finally we have no room for more!

We got this from a vide maison near Troyes, Champagne, where it had been used to display copper pans and had apparently been made by the owner in the 1980s.
We intended to fit it in our kitchen but never got round to it.
No artisan crafted piece but it does look to be hand made being cut from an iron or steel sheet to make a hanging rail or rack with five strong hooks, hammered fan ends, and a barb or thorn design to the edges.
The hooks are spaced in a graduated way to accommodate pans from large to small.
Now worn but sound, it’s still usable, either for pans or utensils or as a coat hook rack…

In good vintage condition with some wear and light surface rust but no damage - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
In very sound condition with a little flex and no movement at the hook joints which appear to be welded.
Bowed a little in the centre.
The five hooks are graduated in spacing and are very secure.
Spacing is approximately 16 cm, 17 cm, 19 cm and 24 cm.
There are two screw holes for wall mounting.
The ends have been hand planished or hammered forming a rustic, textured fan - see photos.
I can find no maker’s mark.

100 cm long maximum (a couple of millimetres over),
3 cm height to the back plate, 5.5 cm to the fan ends,
2 cm deep from wall to hook end,
Weighs about 1 kg.
