Beautiful densely embroidered placemats from South Africa. Fully backed to protect sewing threads and provide luxury thickness. Each has the name of the artist embroidered to ensure accreditation.
Started in 1988, Kaross placemats are hand embroidered by Shangaan women in an economic development project in South Africa and each unique piece is based on a folk tale or typical South African scene. £30 each or £55 for both.
