Got this description from an antiques site where it’s up for sale £500! No one has bought at and at that price I can image why!
The top needs a bit of love and there’s a split (see pictures) that might get worse but it is nearly 100 years old.
“Cotswold School style oak writing desk by Maple. This has five drawers and a stretcher with carved decorations. With subtle decorations on the drawer knobs and the base this is a fine quality item of furniture.
A useful size and with an attractive oak colour this is a solid and very well-made piece of furniture that is ready for your home. It has been finished all the way around with polish so can stand freely in the middle of a room.
