I've been making very good home brew wine for about 80p to £1 a bottle using Wineworks kits (easily sourced online) and this equipment. Takes about 3 weeks from start to bottling - it's ridiculously easy! I always re-use re-use bottles rather than buying bottles (and reusing screw tops makes it even easier).

x1 Plastic Brewing bucket (suitable for beer/wine/cider) - 25L, graduated markings, thermometer on the side
x1 Plastic Carboy 23L and rubber stopper
Airlocks
Cleaning brush
Glass non-mercury thermometer
Hydrometer (for measuring specific gravity to estimate alcohol ABV)
No-rinse sterilising powder (2/3 full)
Bottling wands and syphons / tubes
Stirring spoon
