Description
Cast iron fireback, log grate and fire dogs, unused and in storage for many years, but good as when bought new. Recently reblacked and looking good. Fireback overall is 78cm wide X 69cm high and features a standing lion surrounded by symbols of the home nations and France. Probably of historical significance ? The log grate is 61cm wide X 35cm deep and the dogs 45cm tall. The weight of the fireback is significant, I guestimate in excess of 80Kg. Dogs and grate are a manageable weight for one person, but still heavy !
