Description
60w of Great British rock n roll in a box.
Amp is all original apart from a new bias capacitor which my tech insisted on putting in as a safety precaution to prevent unwanted valve destruction. Has the old Bulgin round power socket - this probably should be replaced with a modern IEC for convenience & safety.
I haven’t an exact age for it, but the serial number suggests somewhere around 69-71.
Power valves are new, preamp valves all tested strong. Bit of crackle on some of the pots but this should clear once the amp’s regularly used. Overall, sounding fine for a 50+ year old amp.
Sound-wise it’s more classic Hiwatt than Marshall - loud & authentic tone that leaves modellers & emulators in the dust.
