KPS came to me through the estate agent who is selling my property. The brief was initially to quote for the removal of a small quantity of furniture and several large industrial appliances and other miscellaneous and numerous items abandoned by my vacating tenant. The list subsequently increased to include the demolition and removal of 2 steel framed glazed greenhouses and contents, as well as the clearance of significant amounts of overgrown grasses, weeds and general vegetation, some of which obscured substantial quantities of hidden artefacts which only came to light after the quotations were finalised. The removal of the initially quoted items went efficiently and without a hitch, but the garden clearance works was entirely another matter. This aspect of the works was not something his business is normally geared up to undertake, and the lack of appropriate equipment left both Daniel and his colleague almost completely overwhelmed. However, they soldiered on bravely and a pleasantly acceptable result was eventually achieved on the whole. Their communication mainly via a social media app was first rate throughout, and as I was unable to be on site throughout, I was kept appropriately informed throughout the day until their ultimate departure at around 9pm the same evening! Daniel advertises himself as taking pride in his work with a commitment to an unhurried and thorough approach, and this was evident in spades. The fact that both he and colleague Damien put in a near 10 hour shift in order to complete the work speaks volumes. Furthermore, when he realised that he had seriously under-quoted for the work, he explained his situation professionally but promised nevertheless to honour his agreed quotation. He even offered a discount when he realised he was ultimately unable to remove some of the heavier garden plant pots which were made of cast concrete. Because of his friendly and helpful disposition which sought to achieve customer satisfaction as a priority as well as never once complaining about any aspect of the works, I was therefore very happy to reach an accommodation on price which both he and I found acceptable.
