REDUCED – DIEM UNHOOKING MAT, WITH RAISED EDGE, TOP COVER, THICK BASE AND VELCRO CARRY HANDLES.
Get ready for the new fishing season. This is a fantastic / strong / tough / large / Carp Mat , with a very thick beanie -filled edge and thick central base. One of the thickest mats available and able to take any size of UK and most European carp. There is a raised edge to aid stopping the fish moving off the mat (see dimensions below and photos) and velcro fastening carry handles. It also has pegging points to stop wind blowing it away. One unusual feature is the top cover which can be fixed down to stop the fish flapping off the mat – and also can be used as as kneeling mat whilst unhooking the fish. This mat is ideal for positioning under a weighing tripod, in a correct weigh-station set up. It can stack flat on a barrow and has no need to be constructed like some modern mats have to be – just put it down on the bank and it is ready for use.
It is one of the largest ones made, certainly at the time brought, very strong. One small rip / hole has been repaired and is tight again (see photos) - but it is on the back so normally does not show. Some anglers even use it for a handy bank seat, if travelling light, or even a dog bed !
