Description

The bike works but is unrideable due to an issue with the rear forks so being sold as spares & repairs but can be fixed if you have the right skillset/tools as I suspect it will need welding, basically the wheel has spun in the forks and rounded off the bracket that holds the wheel in. This has also caused the thread on the axle/spindle to have been damaged, the nut does still tighten. I tried filing the forks down and squaring it off in the hope the spindle would sit in it without spinning but no luck, see photo.

I should say at this point I am not a mechanic or an engineer, so what I am advising is just how I understand it, everything I say is honest and my understanding of the issue, If I am wrong it is an honest mistake and not me being deceitful, so ask any questions you need and I will answer them honestly and too the best of my understanding.

I have attached loads of photos but can take more if needed.

There are also couple of other minor things to consider:

1. I bought the wrong rear brake cable for the bike, whilst it works fine I got one with the wrong adapter so the automatic brake cut off does not work for the rear brake, however this is not an issue as the one for the front brake works fine, and you need to release the throttle on the right handlebar when slowing anyway.

2. The handle on the battery has broken, so at present its a little awkward to pull the battery out of the frame to charge, I use a pair of pliers to do it. I do have the handle still so I will glue and tape it up which my resolve the issue. This battery wont actually charge whilst still in the frame (slightly different design to the original) so it does need removing to charge.

I bought the battery just over a year ago but it still charges to its max as the bike has been on and off the road several times in that period (motor issue, which I replaced). This alone was £255.

When working the bike goes up to 33mph, it will do 25 miles at full power (i.e. constant throttle) but of course this can be easily doubled when riding around town, and you can also use pedal assist.

The price s £200, with that you will also get 2 charges for the battery and a spare rear wheel identical to the front (I had to buy a new rear wheel/motor combination to ensure it fitted correct, the current motor wont go in that wheel).
