Description
Mid century Danish Royal modular wall system, designed by Poul Cadovius in the 1950s. Perfect as a home office set up, as well as in the living room.
The bureau / drinks cabinet has a lattice door, the most desirable design of the Cadovius system. The module is actually a record unit, there are two more of the black divider parts.
I have another same colour tone system with another drawer and lattice door module if more sets are needed.
This amazingly versatile system can be configured in endless combinations with each of the shelves and cabinets independently hung on metal pins inserted into holes along the vertical rails. The sliding doors can be easily removed, making the cabinet unit open shelving if desired.
Please note that the shelf supports are black, not brass as they are in the pictures.
Good vintage condition; the units have been cleaned. Some very light marks and wear consistent with age on the drawer unit and on the bureau. The right hand back corner of the bureau / record unit has opened up a very small amount, but it doesn’t affect the stability.
This combination comprises:
Lattice door bureau / record cabinet / drinks cabinet: 80 cm wide, 37.5 cm deep and 42.5 cm high
Chest of three drawers Width 80cm Height: 42cm Depth 38 cm (drawers height: 7/11/15 cm)
Cabinet with sliding doors: 80 cm wide, 24 cm deep and 33.5 cm high
2 shelves 80 cm wide and 24 cm deep , 1 shelf 80cm wide and 20cm deep, all with black brackets
Pins for the units
Three 198cm long , 3cm wide and 2cm deep Royal wall rails
