Plate Racks 2 Designs Very Suitable for Dining Rooms or Lounges Dark Oak Finish Reproductions
Aylsham, Norfolk
£149
Description
Description
Each length features integral small shelf-support corbels and 2 plate retaining grooves on the upper surface. These are designed to form a continuous length with the joint being hidden behind the end corbel on each length. Its light weight makes it easily fixable to most walls and requires a minimal number of tools.
Because of the various weight of plates etc, it is advisable that these mouldings are securely fixed, using screws and wall plugs every 600mm.
The detail of the products makes it look like its timber original and even on close inspection make them barely distinguishable from the original wood design. The bonus with this material is it does not suffer over time by decay or wood worm infestation; yet can be filled, stained and treated as wood with most wood stains, lacquer, varnish, paint or polish. As always it is advisable to treat a small area to test the new treatment is compatible with the original surface. These plate racks can also be used for a decorative cornice and various other applications as shown in the last 2 photographs.
