Description
Vintage Car Seat Chair. The seat back folds down, such as do seats from 2/3 door cars to allow passengers rear seat access.
Original metal legs in red, which would have been bolted to the car floor. The chair is quite low and very springy/bouncy - I guess to help provide some comfort on bumpy roads before suspension technology improved.
Currently upholstered in a cream / beige fabric. Shows evidence of traditional upholstery techniques so must have been re-covered quite a long time ago (not sure if it's the original material).
Ideal Upcycling / Re-upholstery project to make a very unique, quirk piece of original furniture.
Approximate Measurements:
WIDTH = 16 inches
DEPTH = 16.5 inches
HEIGHT = 28 inches (17.5 inches when folded down)
