Original, unrestored and unmolested example
Bought from a friend of ours in our town and owned by me these last 2 1/2 years.

It had many £1000s spent on it at a local Triumph specialist in 1998, then it went into dry storage in 2001, not having had much use since the repairs. It stayed in my friend's garage till I bought it off him in October 2022. (See invoices and text of invoices for work carried out just a few thousand miles ago.) I changed many parts like the coolant hoses, rubber fuel pipes, clutch master and slave cylinders, battery, heater valve, wipers, put in an electric washer pump, coolant, plugs, oil etc then gave it a service including oil and filter and topped up the gearbox. Also 4 new tyres. Basically, I did everything it needed doing to get it back on the road and ensure it was safe and reliable.

Also just fitted new Pioneer speakers and aerial so am enjoying clear sounds music for a change!

I've been using it and enjoying it for the last three years and it's been a lot of fun. But I've done everything I can do on it and it's time for a change of project. I have my eye on another fun toy a friend is planning to sell. I use it regularly year-round to go to classic car meets with friends on sunny weekend days. It's very reliable and always starts and runs well even in the depth of winter. It's never broken down on me, probably due to the preventative work I'd done when putting it back on the road.

The external body panels are tatty (looks better in the pictures than close up) but has a solid chassis having had work to the outriggers and other areas such as the floor etc by the Triumph specialist which you can verify in the invoices.

This car can be enjoyed as is or you can fix up the panels as time and funds allow. It would cost too much to have the bodywork restored and resprayed professionally but would suit hobbyists who are handy with panel repairs and can do the work themselves. I prefer to leave it as is without respraying it but opinions do vary on this. As you may know, the chassis is separate on these and this one has had repairs done to it so you don't need to worry about it.

Like a lot of these cars, it has had the original old style rear dampers replaced with normal shock absorbers (Spax in this case) and shock mounting kit. The work was done by a classic car specialist in west London when all the other works listed below were done.

Comes with two sets of keys, owner's manual and period Sharp radio cassette player in the glove box. Wheels are non original ones. The hood is in good condition (one of the items changed by the Triumph specialist when it had the refurbishment).

Located in Teddington, SW London
