1948 TRIUMPH 1800 ROADSTER - FOR SALE A rare opportunity to acquire a 1948 Triumph 1800 Roadster, offering an excellent basis for a rewarding restoration project. The previous owner intended to have the car fully restored by a local specialist restoration company. The vehicle spent approximately 12 months in their workshop, during which time a considerable amount of work was completed. **Work already carried out includes:** - Complete suspension stripped, shot-blasted and powder-coated. - All five wheels professionally powder-coated. - New brake lines fitted. - New ball joints fitted. - Engine serviced, including new spark plugs and contact points. - Seat frame stripped and powder-coated. The engine does start and has been run using our own electric fuel pump. However, the mechanical fuel pump currently fitted to the engine will require replacement. Unfortunately, the restoration company subsequently closed down before the next stages of the project could be undertaken, which were the interior refurbishment and a full repaint. The car comes with all the wood veneer and seat covers, ready for the next stage of restoration. The chrome work is in very good condition. One of the real attractions of this vehicle is the substantial collection of additional spares accumulated by the previous owner over many years. These include complete axles, leaf springs, steering rack and several boxes of assorted spare parts. The car has had just **three owners from new** and is accompanied by a selection of old MOT certificates and invoices, providing some useful history.
