Vintage Raleigh Superbe Bicycle Frame/Incomplete Bike being sold for Restoration or Spare Parts Only
The Bike is currently not rideable for obvious reasons. Rear wheel has a Sturmey Archer AW3 Hub. There is no chain link, gear cable or gear lever. The front wheel doesn't appear original. No pedals fitted, no saddle or seatpost, no front mudguard and handlebars appear to have been painted with silver paint. The frame does have a fork lock which is currently unlocked but there is no key for this. Also there is a bike lock wrapped around the top tube again has no key so will need to be cut off. Rear wheel holds air but both tyres showing signs of ageing and would probably need replacing.
Honest overview of the current condition but please refer to the images as they form part of the overall condition and description.
Although the bike is in a sorry state its still a nice vintage item and a part of cycling history (the Sturmey Archer Hub is dated 05/81 to give idea of age) and might make a good restoration project for someone or useful for remaining parts
