Recommissioned and ready to ride!
Mostly original, classic 'Jet age' styling, late 50s / early 60s gents road bike. Has had a complete mechanical strip down, clean, re-lubrication and set-up adjustment. It is super clean and ready to ride. Has the rare alloy Sturmey Archer AM medium ratio 3-speed hub gears. Cosmetically it has the 'patina' of age, the Dunlop rims look very presentable but are pitted, the spokes however have retained their plating. Very nice condition Brooks saddle, probably not the original (which I think were red/white). Some black paint on mudguards & chainguard has been touched up in the past. Other than that, it seems original. The brake outer cables are perfectly functional but with not perfect, but I chose to retail the original ribbed outers.
- Small 21" frame, measured from crank centre to top of seat tube
- New Raleigh Record 37-590 (26" x 1⅜") Tyres
- New inner tubes with Dunlop 'period' valves
- Sturmey Archer Alloy AM Medium Ratio 3-speed hub gears
- Dunlop 26" x 1⅜" rims
- New brake blocks
- Frame pump (will need adaptor for Dunlop valves)
