IKEA MANDAL 160x200 King Bed, Headboard SM1 / RRP €549

Description

Beautiful IKEA MANDAL 160 x 200 cm bed frame with matching extra-wide slatted birch headboard, six headboard shelves and four spacious under-bed storage drawers.

One of IKEA’s most distinctive bed designs, with a beautiful low-profile solid birch frame, minimalist white drawers and an impressive 240 cm wide slatted headboard.

This size/configuration is no longer available from IKEA UK, but the MANDAL is still sold by IKEA in Europe. The equivalent 160 x 200 cm bed with headboard is currently €549 from IKEA Spain:

The frame is slightly wider than a standard UK king-size mattress (150 x 200 cm). A UK king fits beautifully, as pictured, leaving a slim border of exposed birch along either side of the mattress. This highlights the solid wood frame and is one of the particularly lovely design details of the MANDAL bed.

Alternatively, it accommodates a 160 x 200 cm European mattress for a closer edge-to-edge fit.

Includes:
• MANDAL 160 x 200 cm bed frame
• 240 cm slatted birch headboard
• Six removable headboard shelves
• Four large under-bed storage drawers
• Slatted bed base

The six small headboard shelves are included, although they are not shown in the current photos. One of the six has slight damage to one side, which is unnoticeable when positioned with the affected side facing away. Photos of the shelves will be added shortly.

The bed is in good used condition and remains solid and fully functional. There are some cosmetic signs of wear, including marks and scratches to the white drawer fronts and some wear/chipping along the lower white sections. These have been photographed clearly.

The natural birch frame and headboard remain particularly attractive, and the four large drawers provide an excellent amount of concealed storage.

Mattress and bedding are not included.

Dimensions:
Bed frame: approx. 160 cm wide x 202 cm long
Suitable mattress: 160 x 200 cm, or standard UK king 150 x 200 cm as pictured
Headboard: approx. 240 cm wide

The bed will be dismantled this week and ready for collection. Additional photos will be added once dismantled.
