Simulation and Modelling Engineer

12 month contract

Based in Bristol

Offering £75ph Inside IR35

Do you have experience with MathWorks products (Simulink, MATLAB, Stateflow)?

Do you have experience using DOORS?

Do you want to work with an industry-leading company?

If your answers are yes to these, then this could be the role for you!

As the Simulation and Modelling Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.

You will be involved in:

Models to support initial feasibility and concept proving studies

Models to support design development and trade-off studies

Models to support ground testing and experimentation

Models to support trials programmes, including trials predictions used as part of the fit-to-fire decision and post-trials analysis for detailed trials evaluation

Full system reference models used to produce formal performance statements to support the certificate of design and design verification processes

Your skillset may include:

Simulation and Modelling - preferably on Aerospace projects

MathWorks products - specifically Simulink, Embedded MATLAB and Stateflow

Ability to produce a computer simulation (Simulink model) from a mathematical specification

Understanding of the modelling process and working within a quality process

Understanding of coding standards

Rational Team Concert (or similar Configuration and Management Tools)

DOORS (or similar Requirement Management Tools)

Autocode generation from Simulink

C, FORTRAN or Ada
