Description
1963 Norton Slimline Dominator.
With a nod to Cafe Racer style, it has had some quality fittings added such as :-
- Rear sets and Flat Bars
- Central alloy oil tank
- Swept back exhausts and silencers from Armours; both in Stainless Steel
- Alloy Converta Engine Plates
- Ackront Alloy wheels front and back with stainless spokes
For reliability and performance it also benefits from the following conversions / fitments :-
- 12V electrics
- Boyer ignition
- Belt Primary Drive
- Commando clutch
- Amal Premier carburettor
Matching Engine and Frame numbers
Fitted with Avon Roadrider tyres, front and back
Many invoices for replacement parts, including such as Main Light switch, Fork Stanchions, Brake Shoes front and back, Full Twin leading shoe Brake Assembly … etc
It Starts easily, runs well and pulls like a Train, which I believe is a lot to do with the improvements made to the ignition and carburation. There are no rattles, knocks or smoke.
I bought the bike earlier this year with the intention of having the frame re-coated over the winter period. Wheels, Tyres, Tank, Seat, Exhausts etc are all in very good condition.
I just consider that the bike would benefit hugely by having the Frame coated / painted but it is perfectly serviceable as it is.
My reason for selling is that I have just purchased a modern bike and only having room for two bikes in my garage (I have another Classic besides this one), so I’m putting the Norton up for sale.
It is priced for a quick sale; I’m just looking to recover what I have in it.
