Description: The Norton F1 is one of the most unusual and technically fascinating British motorcycles ever produced and combined cutting-edge rotary-engine technology with a lightweight sports-bike chassis,Built around a liquid-cooled, twin-rotor Wankel engine developed from Norton's successful RCW588 racing programme,The race bikes were ridden by Trevor Nation, Steve Spray and Robert Dunlop, with Steve Hislop narrowly beating Carl Fogarty on a Yamaha in the Senior TT in 1992,This superb example was registered in 1990 and acquired by our vendor in 1991. Now a retired automotive engineer, the bike has been meticulously maintained by him over the years,The engine has been molybdenum coated, originally by Norton, but later by F1 guru Richard Negus, who did this work whilst doing an engine re-build some 5,000 miles ago and his signature remains on the bike,Described as riding well, the engine sounds very healthy and quickly settles down to a clean idle,Supplied with much paperwork, including a V5C, old MOTs and tax discs, owner's manual, parts catalogue, cover and two keys.
