The Morgan 4/ 4 is a British motor car which was produced by the Morgan Motor Company from 1936 to 2018. It was Morgan's first car with four wheels, the name indicating that the model has four wheels and four cylinders.
This is a rare opportunity to own something unusual in the Morgan world - the car is unique and genuinely a one off. It is believed to be the only 4/ 4 4 seat DHC.
We have been led to believe that the body may have been built by Tickfords, although this is still to be confirmed. You may also notice that the car sports a later front end which was fitted by Morgan themselves after some accident damage in 1960 which is evidenced by letters from Morgan confirming the car was rebuilt during this time.
The car really is a joy to drive. It is fitted with the correct Standard Special 1267cc engine which is in lovely order and runs very well indeed. The running gear is in perfect working order, the gear change is good and the clutch smooth. It is fitted with new tyres all round.
The body work is in great condition, the wood work is perfect and the paintwork, although older, does shine and present well. The interior is original and in good order with a lovely age about it.
Car comes with history and paperwork, including the current V5. However, as it is well known in Morgan circles, there is almost certainly more history and information to be found out about it.
