Some common questions and answers. Folks on Gumtree are a varied bunch. If you get no response, it's likely because your answer is here. Saves your time and my own.
------------------------------
Q. Is it still available?
A. YES. If the advert is live it's available.
Q. What's your best price?
A. The price you see is the price you pay. Not a penny lower. If the price isn't right for you, please move on
Q. Could you communicate outside Gumtree and send a mail to my sick sister/brother/mother/father?
A. Scamming filth. Jog on.
Q. Can you deliver?
A. NO. Inspect and collect please, it's safer for everyone.
Q. Would you take Western Union/Paypal/Magic Beans, and send it to my shipping agent/p.o. box/cousin in Italy.
A. No, No, Nope, no and no, in that order.
Q. I want to come collect it this weekend, you'll hold it for me right buddy?
A. NO. Gumtree is pretty bad. About 1 in 4 people that 'really want it', don't turn up (or even bother to text back, it's the nature of the beast), often purposefully screwing other genuine buyers. First come, first served.
Q. We've exchanged a few messages and are now pals. It's ok for me to now ask you for a discount isn't it?
A. YES. Sure. Right after you've helped me paint and rewire my house, like good friends do...
