Description
SECOND STEP MOBILITY – FREE COLLECTION OF MOBILITY EQUIPMENT
Do you have a wheelchair, scooter, walking frame or crutches gathering dust? Don’t bin it – let it help someone else.
Second Step Mobility offers a free, trusted, local collection service across Hertfordshire and Essex. We rehome and redistribute every item we can, and responsibly recycle the rest.
WHY DONATE TO US
Every piece of mobility equipment has the potential to change someone’s life again. We help older adults regain independence, support low-income families, assist community health services with emergency stock, and reduce landfill through responsible recycling.
WHAT WE COLLECT
We regularly collect manual wheelchairs, electric scooters and chairs, walking frames, rollators, crutches, canes, and other mobility aids. We can also take riser chairs and parts-based equipment. Items don’t have to be perfect – we accept working and non-working equipment.
WHERE WE OPERATE
We offer free local collections in Bishop’s Stortford, Harlow, Ware, and surrounding areas across Hertfordshire and Essex. We collect six days a week and aim to work around your availability.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Donate your equipment – we’ll collect it for free. Spread the word to friends, family or carers. Every donation helps someone take a second step.
Thank you for supporting Second Step Mobility. Together, we give second chances to second steps.
