For sale is our much loved and greatly cherished MINI Cooper Clubman.

We have owned this car for the last six years and in all that time it has not once let us down, proving to be superbly reliable and dependable.

It has been meticulously maintained, with regular servicing and consumables replaced as and when necessary.

It drives beautifully, and has the genuine (and extremely powerful) BMW MINI 2.0 litre N47 diesel engine as opposed to the PSA/Peugeot engine. The gearbox is a silky smooth 6-speed automatic which makes for a very relaxing and effortless drive. The car starts first time, every time, summer or winter alike.

Sadly it has just failed its annual MOT, requiring some welding and a replacement sub-frame. We have decided this is a bridge too far for us and with heavy heart are offering it for sale to those who have the enthusiasm to complete these repairs and appreciate its character in the next phase of its life. It may well appeal to anyone who loves the classic Clubman vintage styling, and who would like to preserve and enjoy this extremely distinctive car for years to come.

The mileage is currently 128806 although this may go up slightly as the car is still being used for local journeys. The current MOT expires on 29th September 2026, so you could legally drive this home having arranged your own road tax and insurance.

Generally good condition overall (as can be seen from the photos) with a very tidy engine bay, and just the usual marks/wear and tear that you'd typically expect on a car of this age.

In preparation for the MOT we had a brand new tyre fitted and a brand new set of brake pads with new wear sensor.

The precise MOT failure points are listed below:

Sub-frame corroded and seriously weakened (at both sides below antiroll bar mounting areas.) [5.3.3 (b) (i)]
Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength (Nearside rear inner sill.) [5.3.6 (a) (i)]

The car is therefore being sold specifically as a repair project and is priced accordingly.

The reversing/parking sensors (Park Distance Control) have only recently become intermittent (suspected dirt or moisture in or around the sensors).

The tailgate strut on the right-hand rear door (which keeps the door held open without assistance) requires replacement, but please note that this in no way affects the opening/closing or integrity of the door.
