This beautiful MINI One is from the 1st year of production and is an exceptional & unique car. Its first owner kept the car for 20 years having ordered it new from Country Garage Mini taking delivery in Sept 2002. This car is unique as the 1st owner ordered the car with NO factory options except for Met Black paintwork & full Cordoba leather interior, the car doesn’t have any chrome work, no alloys being fitted with genuine original Mini full face hubcaps, no interior glove box, no interior light package, no smokers package, no rev counter, no front fogs etc.
The car is in amazing original condition and came into our ownership 2 years ago when we purchased the car from the 2nd owner, it had been taken off the road due to a failed clutch and was destined for the recyclers when we purchased the car.
The car was fully recommissioned including a new clutch, fully serviced with all fluids changed, new brakes & tyres & a new MOT on the first test. The car taken on a 1k mile road trip from Belfast to the FOTU in Grimthorpe to celebrate the cars recommissioning. The car received great attention at the 2024 Festival and was featured on a number of You Tube channels including Furious Driving, who is a fan of early R50 models owning one himself. He praised the cars unique minimal spec and loved its originality & back story of being rescued from being scrapped. The car drives amazingly for a 23 year old Mini keeping up with modern traffic effortlessly & coped with a 90 minute traffic jam on the M6 during this years trip to the 2025 FOTU with no drama or over heating again completing the near 1k mile road trip without issue and this year gaining a pride of place at the festival including a trip to the famous Caffeine and machine venue as pictured.
The car is MOT’d until July 2026 and was serviced prior to this years road trip for the FOTU.
We are only selling this exceptional Mini as we have recently purchased another early example which needs recommissioning and feel the time is right for a new custodian to take over and cherish this unique car for the next chapter of its adventure
These early R50 Minis are being marked by many of the Classic Car leading Journalists as cars to purchase now while they are still affordable as their values are constantly increasing especially for unique & well cared for examples
