With us here at RFH Classics we bring you this 1977 (S) MGB Roadster, beautifully finished in the striking Damask Red and retaining its original period correct deck chair style cloth interior, a rare feature to find in such pristine condition. This well-preserved example is a car we previously supplied. Prior to this the car came from long-term 25 year ownership. This MGB has clearly been well maintained and comes with excellent panel alignment and a deep, lustrous paint finish that pairs well with the original black rubber bumpers. A front chin spoiler enhances the car’s stance, giving it a subtle yet confident road presence.

On the interior, the deck chair seat covering gives the cabin a lovely period feel which we enhanced last time by fitting good quality new carpets to both the cabin and boot area. The cabin is protected by a well fitting black vinyl roof with an opening rear window, ideal for improved ventilation on warmer days. Under the bonnet is the robust and lead free 1798cc 4 cylinder engine which has recently undergone a full service. While refreshing the car we had the suspension and underside treated with a rust inhibitor, ensuring longevity. This rubber bumper MGB comes equipped with a 4-speed manual gearbox featuring switchable overdrive for 3rd and 4th gears, all functioning perfectly. The engine starts smoothly, even from cold with a strong oil pressure at 55 psi.

Last year when we supplied the car we upgraded the original Rostyle wheels with new Minilite-style 15 inch alloy wheels with matching Toyo tyres. The bumpers are virtually unmarked and there is a safety bar for additional protection. Accompanying the car is a comprehensive history file, including MOT certificates and service records dating back to 1999. Overall, this 1977 MGB Roadster presents a fantastic opportunity for any classic car enthusiast. The car qualifies for historic road tax and benefits from being ULEZ exempt. Although vehicles of this age are MOT exempt, as part of our preparation process the car will be supplied with a fresh MOT test providing additional peace of mind for the next owner. As a classic it is eligible for low-cost classic car insurance and is supplied with 3 months major mechanical warranty. All of our vehicles are sold clear of finance or insurance damage with a certificate provided at handover. We recommend using premium unleaded fuel (E5) in all of our classic vehicles.
