Supplied new on the 24th of March 2003 - WX03 XWM we originally took this SL in part exchange from a local owner in 2020. We then supplied to a regular customer who wanted to get the car in exceptional condition and due to a change of personal circumstances, this car arrives back with us in part exchange against a Bentley Flying Spur. Mechanical Condition:
The SL 500 is a superb car to drive with very smooth and reliable 5.0 litre V8 engine. The 5 speed automatic gearbox is also extremely reliable this example has had the gearbox serviced with no issues. As can be seen from recent invoices, this car has had significant expenditure on common / age related items resulting in the suspension and ride quality being superb. Premium Michelin Pilot Sport tyres fitted all round, another sign of how the car has been maintained. This example drives particularly well and is an absolute pleasure. Exterior Condition:
This is an exceptionally good looking Mercedes SL 500 with factory AMG Bodystyling, 19 inch wheels, wheel spacers - this example has a beautiful stance and presence. The bodywork is in exceptional condition for the year and has clearly been cherished. There is no visible corrosion to arches which are in excellent condition. There are no large or noticeable stone chips to bonnet. There are no scuffs to bumpers, car park dents or other significant marks to paint. Interior Condition:
The interior is very high specification also with exclusive Graphite Nappa Leather, Pano Roof, Designo Alcantara Headlining etc. There is no evidence this car has been smoked in or used to carry pets and there are no lingering smells. The roof works exactly as it should. There is no ingrained dirt or scuffing damage to the seats. The carpets are all very clean with no excess wear. Updated Alpine audio is superb. The boot area is very clean.
