Reluctant sale of my pride and joy because we've just had a baby, so weekend grand touring in a 2-seater is taking a back seat unfortunately! If I wait til spring, a low-mileage, properly sorted SL like this will easily fetch £9,500–£10k, but I’d rather let an enthusiast enjoy it now and take care of it over winter instead of leaving it sitting.

*Bulletproof (M113) 5.0L V8: Runs effortlessly and sounds fantastic (not clear on the video because of outside traffic noise).

*Full Service History: 9 stamps at consistent intervals. Just had a MAJOR service (all fluids and filters replaced). Clean MOT record throughout its life.
*ABC Suspension fully serviced: Complete maintenance done last year with paperwork to prove it - car raises, lowers, and rides exactly as it should with no drops or leaks.
*Vario-roof works seamlessly, interior is immaculate, and the boot/battery area stays if the car is cared for.
*No warning lights or notices on the dash.

**Full Transparency on condition so theres no nasty surprises when you test it (these 3 minor items are factored into the price):**
*Rear wheel arches: Early R230 cosmetic bubbling on both rear arches - hard to fine one that doesnt have this. Roughly £1,000 for a body shop to sort and paint.
*Exhaust heat shield rattle: Again its an old R230 and this happens - it's a light buzz on cold idle of the engine. Harmless, but will want replacing down the line (minor job/cheap part when its in for a service).
*Driver’s door speaker: Distorts slightly under heavy bass recently. Could be a loose wire or may need a new speaker unit. again not a big job for trade or an enthusiast.

Mechanically, this car is exceptional and drives like a dream. Local Merc specialists have toild me its one of the best sounding R230's theyve had.
