Fantastic Mercedes Benz 190E 2.6 Petrol 6 Cylinder Automatic finished in Pajett Red Metallic Coachwork with full Dove Grey Leather Upholstery. Exception provenance and service history portfolio, very original and highly cherished example. Supplied by Langstone Mercedes Benz of Portsmouth in July 1992, with factory fitted electric sunroof, all round electric windows, Pajett Red Metallic coachwork, 15 inch alloy wheels, front & rear armrests and blue tinted windscreen sun visor strip. The original service book is still with the car and shoes 8 x Mercedes Benz Main Dealership services in the south of England, followed by a further 10 services at either independent or Mercedes Benz Specialist workshops (plus our service to add). In addition to this we have service parts invoices evidencing another 5 independent services. In summary we have 24 documented services which equates to a service on average, every 4576 miles! We have a large collection of maintenance and upkeep invoices including a comprehensive mechanical overhaul by a Mercedes Benz Specialist in Wembley at 70,000 miles. The overhaul included removal of the cylinder head and manifolds, new gaskets, seals and cleaning all round and a transmission overhaul. Lots of recent stuff, altogether we have well over £6,000 of invoices. We also have a used vehicle sales invoice from Portfield Mercedes Benz of Chichester for £19,130, dated November 1995 (presumably the second owner). We have also have every original MOT certificate dating back to 1995 along with a large collection of TAX discs. Lovely to see such a comprehensive record of the cars history, a true testament too the previous owners. Current owner for approaching 6 years and just 7 former keepers. Thats an everage ownership change every 4 years or so, so nothing untoward here. I simply cannot express how well this 190E drives! The masterpiece 6 cylinder 2.6 engine is powerful, not smokey or noisy in anyway, it is superb. The steering, suspension, brakes and drive train are positive, responsive and free from any unwanted knocks, noises, vibrations or annoyances. The automatic gearbox is lovely and smooth with fully functional kick down, and it really shifts! We have inspected the car on the ramp and it is lovely and solid, with no horrible previous repairs etc (any inspection welcome). The bodywork is very good indeed with only minor blemishes in keeping with age and mileage. No unsightly scratches, rust or dents and the paintwork has a lovely deep shine. The leather upholstery is extremely high quality and very comfortable, the roof lining is in lovely condition, as are the carpets, A few signs of wear here and there, but nothing noteworthy. This super 190E has just celebrated its 33rd birthday, and would put many 5 year old cars to shame. It is not a concourse example, its been used, loved and relied upon for over 3 decades and will happily do the same again. This is a fantastic investment opportunity, as the Mercedes 190E is really making big strides in the classic car scene. Prices have been going up and up and this is most certainty the one to have, being the 6 cylinder 2.6 with the automatic gearbox.
