Description

A charming vintage Soviet sterling silver ring with a graceful, organic design. Two sculpted leaf-like forms curve gently around each other across the top of the finger, and a single sparkling cubic zirconia sits at the heart of the front leaf in a hand-cut star setting. It feels like something with a story behind it.

Cubic zirconia, known in the Soviet Union as fianit, was first grown there, so it belongs naturally in a piece like this. It is often seen as a stone of clarity and self-belief, said to sharpen focus, lift the spirits and help the wearer carry themselves with quiet confidence.

Fully hallmarked inside the band with 925 and the Soviet star assay mark, plus a maker's mark. The silver shows gentle signs of age and wear in keeping with its vintage character, with a soft patina and light surface marks.
