Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Leeds

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £90 - £105 per day

TeacherActive is working closely with a variety of primary schools throughout Leeds and the surrounding areas. We are currently recruiting Primary Teaching Assistants who can provide reliable classroom support across KS1 and KS2.

We have both day-to-day and long-term opportunities available, making these roles suitable for Teaching Assistants looking for flexibility as well as those searching for a consistent position within one school.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher with the delivery of lessons, work with pupils individually and in small groups, help pupils remain focused and engaged and contribute towards creating a positive classroom environment.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

At least 6 months' experience working with children in an educational setting

Experience supporting primary-aged pupils

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

Confidence supporting learning across English and Maths

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

A commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil progress
