£28,600–£42,900 BASIC PER YEAR + BONUSES

Full-time permanent employment · 5½-day working week

We need an experienced, practical all-round mechanic who can service and repair cars, use workshop equipment confidently and work through a varied daily job list. Useful electrical knowledge is a plus alongside solid mechanical skills.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

• Servicing: oil, filters, spark plugs, fluids and vehicle checks.

• Brakes, steering and suspension: discs, pads, calipers, arms, bushes, springs, shocks and wheel bearings.

• Tyres: fitting, balancing, puncture repairs and TPMS.

• Tracking: front tracking and four-wheel alignment.

• Air conditioning: servicing, leak investigation and regassing.

• Mechanical repairs: clutches, engines, cambelts, wet belts, timing chains and cooling systems.

• Diagnostics: practical fault finding, including electrical faults, using diagnostic machines and suitable test equipment.

• MOT preparation, inspections and repairs alongside our MOT testing service.

WHAT WE NEED

• At least five years’ experience as a vehicle mechanic or technician.

• Confidence with servicing, everyday repairs and substantial mechanical work.

• Ability to use lifts, tools and workshop machines safely, follow repair information and check your work.

• Reliability, careful workmanship, good organisation and willingness to help your colleagues.

• A full UK driving licence and your own basic tools.

PAY AND WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

• £28,600–£42,900 annual basic pay, depending on experience and ability.

• Easily achievable performance bonuses, with an extra £400 per month achievable on top of your basic pay.

• Full-time permanent employment, based on a 5½-day working week.

• Overtime available.

• Breakfast provided every morning.

Bonus arrangements will be discussed at interview. All work is based at our New Barnet workshop.
