Mazda, MX-5, Convertible, 2004, Manual, 1839 (cc), 2 doors (Running, but will need some love)

Description

For sale is my 2004 MX5 NB Sport.

The car does run and can be driven, however will need an MOT on the 22nd March 2026.

I've owned this car for the past 5 year. Due to moving homes i will no longer need it.

There are good points and bad points around my car which i will be open and honest about as it isn't worth anyone's time if i don't mention any details that i know about.

Good Points:

- Factory painted hardtop (Slight damage to the seal around the rear of it, but this isn't causing any leaks or issues)

- Soft top is basically brand new (As i rarely have the hard top off, but does have a tiny pin sized hole in the top which does not cause any leaks).

- New radiator fitted around 2 years ago (Just a generic aftermarket radiator)

- Hell brake lines (Front only)

- Clutch replaced 2 years ago.

- Big brake kit including pads fitted 6 months ago

- New front driver side brake caliper.

- Head gasket replaced a year ago due to a leak

- Bronze JR19 15x9 et-13 wheels and Nankang tour sport tyres (Fitted 4 years ago, with some curb damage).

- Chrome sport cat back from factory still in tact.

- car has been under sealed, but this was before I bought it so I am unsure how long it has been there.

- both rear sills were striped back and a new panel put in around 4 years ago, they have some surface rust but underneath are solid with no holes.

Bad Points:

- Car was involved in a very very light crash in 2022 (No damage to the structure nor the parts of the car, but worth mentioning, wheel alignment was needed but has been fine ever since).

- Air bag light on dash is intermittent and does flag sometimes for the passenger air bag, believe it is a sensor issue and just needs to be cleaned or replaced.

- Suspension will most likely need replacing all round for its MOT, i'm no mechanic but it has been flagged up for the past couple of years.

- Car does "Wobble" when driving around 50mph (Due to big wheels on a stock steering rack, but i'm not mechanic, this has not been a problem and i have had the wheels on the car for 4 years).

- Driver window squeaks when lowering (Just needs some tlc and some silicon lubricant i'd imagine).

- Slight oil leak flagged on MOT (Head gasket is fine)

- speed bumps for the most part are fine, but very high raised ones will scrape if you have a passenger.

- Leather seat has wear and tear damage but it is still solid.

- front passenger wing is somewhat loose, not an MOT issue but will need screwing into place.

Of course there are other good and bad points to the car but none that i can currently think about, as i say i will be open and honest with the car, so please ask anything and everything and i will be happy to help.
