The Mazda CX-30 made headlines when it was tested because its 99% Adult Occupant protection score was an all-time record for a near-perfect crash test. Its structural integrity in side and frontal impacts is phenomenal.

Mazda have one trick up their sleeve. When Ford pulled out of brands such as Mazda and Volvo, Mazda got new investment and reinvented themselves. Part of the new R&D was injected into new metallurgy techniques.

They teamed up with Sumitomo Metal Industries and created a world first, 1,800 MPa Ultra-High Tensile Steel. This is the current automotive world record, and is patented so only really available on Mazda products.

They've used it where it counts in their current products which obviously helps results.
As shown by EuroNCAP, the Mazda CX-30 holds the best rating for front occupant safety of 99%. This is the highest result ever received to date since 2009.

The steel that Mazda produces was inspired by Samurai swords.

Being newer design and a high-spec trim, this car is loaded with Mazda’s "i-Activsense" suite. Mazda and Bose moved the bass woofers into the "cowl" (the rigid corners of the footwells). This eliminates door rattle and delivers incredibly tight, punchy, and distortion-free bass.

Advanced Processing: It features Bose’s CenterPoint technology (which converts standard stereo signals into multiple channels for virtual surround sound) and AudioPilot (a microphone system that constantly monitors background cabin noise and actively adjusts the equalization to compensate).
