HIGHGROVE - LUDLOW - FIRM COMFORT MATTRESS - 120cm by 200cm (4ft by 6ft6) for power adjustable bed

Surplus mattress used for only 3 weeks from new by my Dad, a fully continent older gentleman (no waterproof mattress protectors needed). Like all mattresses he uses, it had a soft, cotton, mattress topper on it to add some softness and a cotton mattress protector over that. Mattress therefore still looks fresh and new. Dad's house has always been non-smoking and is pet-free and is a well looked after, clean and tidy home. The mattress on its own would probably cost around £429 to £645.
I am aware that although it has been used for no time at all it is secondhand, and the warranty is not transferrable. That is why it's £140 or best offer.

My dad treated himself, at some expense, to a power adjustable bed from ThistleCare Irvine. He said the firm mattress in the shop seemed just right. Obviously these are made to order so they can't be returned after delivery. This was delivered to him on 6th August. In less than 2 weeks he'd decided that the mattress was way too firm for him! What next? Thankfully made a trip to Archers Sleep Centre in Kilmarnock on 27th August for him to try out more mattresses for powered adjustable beds. Result! One found that we could take home that day and, since then, now a very happy sleeper.

So, since 27th August, Dad's used for only 3 weeks Highgrove Ludlow "Cashmere" mattress had been sitting in his spare bedroom on top of the guest bed. Thankfully no guests visiting since August! It has since been moved to our home in Clarkston to allow for a family member to visit Dad for a few days and stay over at his.

We are looking for someone to collect from our home in Clarkston (south side of Glasgow).

It is designed to be used with a power adjustable electric bed (not a medical bed but a lifestyle one) which is a "long" small double in size - so 120cm by 200cm or 4ft by 6ft 6" (a standard double would be 135cm by 190cm - 4ft 6" by 6ft 3"). It could also be used on any unpowered bed of the same size. Highrove state that: Please note that pocket sprung mattresses must not be used with a base for which they are not designed. Slats on a bed frame should be no more than 70mm apart, to ensure the mattress receives adequate support.
