Online Maths and Coding Tutor- GCSE/ A Level/ Further Maths A Level/ STEP

Description

I am a maths and coding tutor based in North London. I support students with all levels of school maths, including GCSE, A-Level (Maths and Further Maths) and even university entrance exams, e.g. Cambridge STEP. I also offer coding lessons for beginner and intermediate coders.

I have a first-class MMath degree from Durham University and a Masters degree in Machine Learning from the University of Cambridge, having received academic awards throughout my studies, including the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship for Academic Excellence. I have been working for several years as a Quantitative Analyst but my real passion is for teaching and communicating maths and programming to the next generation.

With my maths tutees, my goal is to help them achieve mastery of all the concepts in their syllabus, and I hope to impart my excitement for maths as well. However, I understand that students' individual goals will vary, and I always adapt my approach to suit these needs: whether they require extra time and individual attention in order to keep up with the pace of in-class learning, are aiming to pass a particular exam, or are seeking more of a challenge and striving to achieve a greater depth of mathematical knowledge.

As mentioned above, I also offer coding lessons, and I strongly recommend considering them for your child. It can go hand in hand with their maths studies, with each set of skills being an aid to understanding the other. The problem-solving skills and patterns of thought that a student gains by learning to code are valuable life skills and can give them a huge boost in their academic pursuits. Once the initial learning curve is overcome, many students recognise how much fun they can have while coding and start writing their own programmes in their free time. If they go on to study a STEM degree, having coding skills that go beyond the very basics that schools offer will give them a valuable head start. I offer a discount on coding lessons for students who are also taking maths sessions with me.

Lessons will be held on Google Meet unless a different method is requested and arrangements can be made. I have an up-to-date DBS, which I am happy to share on request.
