Description
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025 on Sunday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT. , The Matchless G15/45 was a rare, short-lived 738cc parallel-twin motorcycle produced by AMC for the American export market,Not available in the UK, only 212 were built during 1962 and 1963 and it's believed that around 60 have survived and very few of those have been left unrestored ,It featured a parallel-twin of 738cc achieved by boring out the cylinders of the existing G12 650cc model. It retained the distinctive three-bearing crankshaft design of the earlier AMC twins and a single Amal 389 carburettor handled fuel delivery,This, 1963 example, has been in garage storage since its repatriation to the UK in 1997 and still has its American registration,In mostly original condition and turns over with compression, some recommissioning will be required.,A fantastic opportunity to restore this rare British motorcycle,Supplied with its US registration documents and a receipt of sale,
