Welder Fabricator

Description

DC Personnel are currently seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our client on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MIG/TIG welder to work in a dynamic production environment, with room to grow and develop.

You’ll be working on high-precision sheet metal components, following technical drawings and producing high-quality welds using TIG and MIG processes.

Temp to perm role

Pay rate:

Hourly Rate: £13.50 – £16.50 (dependent on experience and skill level)

Shift Options (37.5 hours per week):

Fixed Early Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Fixed Late Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Assessment: A practical skills test will be conducted during the interview to determine suitability and pay grade.

Key Responsibilities:

Welding thin gauge sheet metal using TIG and MIG techniques

Fabricating components using hand tools and workshop equipment

Working from engineering drawings and welding symbols

Carrying out finishing, fettling, and grinding of your own work

Maintaining quality standards and ensuring structural integrity of welds

Inspecting equipment and completed work for accuracy

Following health and safety practices at all times

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Proven experience with TIG and MIG welding on precision sheet metal

Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings

Knowledge of welding processes including TIG, MIG and ARC

Skilled in general sheet metal fabrication

Experience with robotic welding systems is highly desirable

Competence using a variety of fabrication tools and machinery

Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills

Understanding of industry-standard safety procedures

Working Conditions:

Hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment

Physical work involving bending, lifting and handling heavy steel

Use of appropriate safety equipment is required when operating machinery and tools

Adherence to all site health & safety regulations
