We are working on behalf of a well-established and growing IT services company to recruit an experienced and highly capable Service Desk Engineer. Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that values organisation, initiative, and a strong team culture.

This role of Service Desk Engineer in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire is ideal for a confident and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and takes pride in ensuring an office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties for the role of Service Desk Engineer in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire include:

* Provide 1st and 2nd line support for a wide range of IT issues, including hardware, software, networking, and cloud-based services

* Respond to support tickets via phone, email, and ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service

* Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and user accounts

* Maintain and update system documentation and internal knowledge base

* Assist with onboarding/offboarding, patch management, and general IT administration

* Work closely with senior engineers on escalated tickets and small projects

What You’ll Need:

* 6 months to 2 years of experience in a service desk, IT support, or technical support role

* Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, basic networking, and Active Directory

* Experience using a ticketing/helpdesk system

* Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills

* A customer-first mindset and willingness to learn and adapt

* Desirable: CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, ITIL Foundation, or experience in an MSP environment
