Location: Outskirts of Stowmarket, Suffolk

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time Early Finnish on Friday!

Pay: 15.00+ per hour (depending on experience)

Contract: Permanent after completing a successful probationary period

Are you experienced in a wood workshop, furniture manufacturing, finishing, or paint shop environment and looking for your next opportunity?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well–established manufacturer on the outskirts of Stowmarket for a Veneerer / Woodshop Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team where you'll receive full training in veneering. Previous veneering experience isn't essential – if you have a background working with wood and a keen eye for quality, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop specialist skills within a stable, long–term role.

What you'll be doing:

Applying veneer to a range of bespoke wooden products

Preparing timber and components ready for finishing

Carrying out quality inspections to ensure a high standard of workmanship

Using a variety of hand tools and workshop equipment

Working from production instructions and specifications

Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience working in a woodshop, joinery, carpentry, cabinet making, furniture manufacturing, finishing, or paint shop environment

Has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in producing high–quality work

Is practical, hands–on, and eager to learn a specialist trade

Works well independently and as part of a team

Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
