Vendor Planner - Automotive Industry (Crewe) Rate: GBP21.72 - GBP23.81 per hour (PAYE only)Hours: 35 hours/week Monday-Friday 8am-4pmLocation: On-site in Crewe (Hybrid scope possible)Contract Type: Temporary via SF Recruitment
Join the iconic Automotive team as a Vendor Planner, where precision meets passion in a fast-paced supply chain environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong planning skills, supplier coordination experience, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities: Manage delivery schedules for non-sequenced parts aligned with production and pre-series build phases.Coordinate with global transport providers to ensure efficient collections.Expedite part deliveries to meet production needs and inventory targets.Identify and resolve risks to parts availability, including arranging special transport and handling import/export documentation.Understand and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure timely parts planning.Maintain accurate supplier schedules to support production and financial goals.Handle unplanned demand requests (e.g., After Sales, Engineering, Projects).Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supply chain and BOM concerns.Liaise with VW Group on parts allocation and constraints. What You'll Bring: Willingness, passion, and common sense - essential qualities for success.Background in planning, fast-moving goods, and parts handling.Strong communication skills - phone and email with suppliers.Experience with: TS16949 or equivalent quality standardsUK/EU/ROW import/export procedures (post-Brexit)MRP, EDI, SAP, and Microsoft OfficeVW Group systems (desirable)
