Upholsterer

Description

Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer. They are looking for an experienced Upholsterer to work in their busy factory. This is a permanent, full time role.

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

* Over a year’s recent experience in furniture upholstery.

* Strong understanding of upholstery techniques including cutting, sewing, padding, webbing, fitting, and finishing.

* Ability to use upholstery tools and machinery safely and correctly.

* Good attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality finishes.

* Strong problem solving ability when working with complex or bespoke pieces.

* Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Salary: £14.85 per hour + Bonus (circa £40 - £110 a week depending on performance), also discretionary twice annual bonus based on overall company performance.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 4.30pm, Friday 7.00am - 11.00am

Breaks: One 30-minute break (paid), two 15-minute breaks (unpaid)

Responsibilities:

* To Upholster various items of furniture from the frame up to finished items.

* Use a variety of tools such as staple guns & drills, in addition to hand tools to manufacture a wide range of furniture.

* Read and follow upholstery specifications, drawings, and production instructions.

* Repair or re-upholster existing furniture when required.

* To complete work to a high-quality standard, whilst meeting deadlines. xjnqpsq

* To work with the production team to achieve the production schedule.
