Job Title: Trainee Coachbuilder

Salary: 29–34k per annum

Location: Winsford, Cheshire

Working Hours: (Days)Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm Friday: 7:30am – 3:30pm

(Nights) Monday – Thursday 19.45pm – 06.00am

You may be required to work occasional evenings or weekends to meet business needs.

Key Objectives

As a Trainee Coachbuilder, you will join our specialist bodybuilding team or production line, where you will learn the skills required to build high–quality trailers and vehicle bodies. This is a hands–on role designed to provide full training and development in coachbuilding techniques. Over time, you will gain experience working with materials such as hardwoods, fibreglass, steel, and aluminium while developing a strong understanding of vehicle body construction.

Responsibilities

Learn to follow technical drawings and specification sheets under supervision.

Assist and support team members to meet production targets.

Follow clear instructions from senior colleagues and coaches.

Work safely and comply with all health and safety rules and regulations.

Maintain good housekeeping standards in the production area.

Use raw materials and consumables efficiently to minimise waste.

Contribute to a safe and productive working environment.

As part of your development, you may be asked to assist with a variety of tasks. Training will be provided to ensure you are fully supported.

Strong willingness to learn new skills and develop as a coachbuilder.

Practical, hands–on approach to work.

Keen eye for quality and detail.

Ability to use hand tools (training provided, prior experience advantageous).

Good team player with a proactive attitude.

Interest in working from technical drawings and learning how to interpret them.

Willingness to build your own basic hand tool kit over time as your skills grow.
