Description

Looking for a Sustainability Manager role you can make a significant impact by implementing strategy and leading change? Opportunity to join a leading food manufacturing business committed to a building a greener future and has recently won awards for its ESG achievements.

About the Role:

Employing over 1,200 people, the site produces millions of products per week and supplies into most of the UK's biggest retailers. It's a fast–paced, dynamic environment offering the opportunity to influence performance across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering key sustainability objectives including Net Zero, energy efficiency, carbon, GHG, water usage, and waste reduction.Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and business objectives and customer's policies.Collating, analysing, and presenting data to monitor progress and supporting annual ESG and CSR reporting.Engaging with, and training, colleagues to promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.

About You:

A background in food manufacturing would be ideal, but we're keen to hear from anybody with the following:

Experience of implementing and managing sustainability initiatives in a manufacturing, engineering, or waste management environment.Strong knowledge of current sustainability and environment legislation and audit experience including ISO 14001 (and ideally ISO 50001, ISO 45001) and carbon reporting.Ideally degree qualified in a relevant field, such as Sustainability, Environmental, or Engineering, with IEMA membership or NEBOSH preferred.Excellent analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence colleagues at all levels.
