Supply Chain Coordinator

£30k-£35k per annum

Monday – Friday / General Office Hours

Wrexham

Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for developing strong supplier relationships, raising purchase orders with third party suppliers to meet business needs, managing order status and resolving invoice discrepancies. The Supply Chain Coordinator needs to be focused on problem solving, analysing areas for improvement and delivering optimal stock to meet customer demand.

Performance Objectives

* Using SAP MRP system to process daily purchase order requirements with third party suppliers ensuring products are ordered efficiently to ensure an effective supply network.

* On a daily basis track purchase orders reporting to Planning & Customer Service Team any possible delays by maintaining “waiting on list” with all relevant information.

* Liaising with Planning, Logistics & Customer Service to ensure effective communication between departments including attendance at Production Meetings as required.

* Liaising with Lead Buyers to ensure the smooth flow materials ordered and delivered to site, ensure escalation process is followed when necessary.

* Coordinating stock returns to third party suppliers as required.

* Achieving Days on Hand targets for stock.

* Reporting slow moving stock to Supply Chain Manager.

* Responsible for supporting SLOB team on inventory reduction.

* Identifying trends to ensure supply chain tools are adjusted to reflect the customer needs.

* Recognising improvement opportunities that require input from other departments such as Planning, Logistics and Customer Service and working together to deliver the required change and track against agreed targets.

* Reporting on the performance of KPIs on a weekly basis including weekly Inventory dashboard and scorecard data.

* Presenting stock, OTIF and forecast information in an accurate, constructive and professional manner as required.

* Responsible for providing cover for other members of the Supply Chain Team, including Planning, ICO purchasing and non-purchased related ordering, as required.

Person Specification

* Essential - Full understanding of inventory management and stock control in a customer focused environment.

* Essential - Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.

* Essential - Experienced user of SAP.

* Able to communicate confidently and build strong relationships across all levels of the business.

* Knowledge of all business units and their customer service requirements.

* Analytical skills and proven ability to turn data into meaningful insight.

* Experience in working in a high pressure and volume environment.

* Team player who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

* Able to work alone and own initiative.

* Able to multitask and deal with large workload.

* Collaborative approach to working on continuous improvement projects.
