Quality Assurance Technician / Food Quality Controller – Food Manufacturing

Location: Liverpool

Salary: Up to £13.79 an hour

Hours: Full-time

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of high-quality fillings, toppings, and similar products for major UK food retailers, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading brand supplier in a fast-paced, supportive environment where quality and innovation are at the heart of everything they do.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

Ensure all products meet customer and legal requirements for food safety and quality.

Assist with the investigation of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.

Maintain accurate quality records and ensure documentation is completed in line with company procedures.

Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRC, and other relevant standards.

Promote and uphold good manufacturing practices (GMP) across the site.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a food manufacturing quality role is essential.

Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems.

Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Flexibility to work shifts if required.
