Description

Stores Supervisor needed for our Stoke on Trent based client.

Your Role

* Reporting to Head of Operations

* Lead and supervise the Component Stores Warehouse / Goods in department.

* Carry out the day-to-day stores’ activities, including the storing away and picking of components either to or from stores locations.

* Cover Goods Inwards duties when required.

* Log all movements in the appropriate bay locations on the individual sheet as well as entering transfers in the warehouse stock record spreadsheet and Priority system.

* Ensure all activities follow appropriate health and safety guidelines.

* Identifying opportunities for process improvement, making recommendations where necessary, adopting a continuous improvement approach using LEAN manufacturing methods.

* Generate all relevant/required reports/statistics/Information, using appropriate manual and IT systems.

* Liaise with Production Managers and Planning team to manage all discrepancies/issues with order picks and stock.

* Offering suggestions for efficiency improvements as part of the overall business strategy.

* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and support the training of staff when necessary.

* Unload or assist with unloading of GI product when required

Skills:

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Previous GI/Stock Control experience

* Good product/component knowledge. (on job training)

* Hands on approach and can-do attitude

* Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively. xjnqpsq

* Ability to meet deadlines.

* Counterbalance and reach forklift license (essential)

Your Background

* Stores Stock Control experience

* Competent in relevant IT systems, eg Microsoft office

* Forklift Trained
