OFFICE BASED – KENT

Our client is a well–established provider of packaging materials and bespoke, sustainable packaging solutions. They supply a wide range of packaging including bespoke corrugated boxes, tapes, polythene bags, strapping, janitorial products, fitments, cartons, void fill products, pallet wraps, films, bubble wrap and foam products. Their aim is to be the go–to packaging partner for bespoke, compelling, and genuinely sustainable solutions for SMEs.

They are currently looking for a proactive and detail–oriented Stock Planner to oversee all aspects of purchasing, supplier coordination, and inventory administration. This critical role ensures that stock levels are optimally maintained, suppliers are effectively managed, and procurement processes run smoothly and cost–efficiently. You will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities:

Plan and execute all purchasing activities to maintain adequate stock levels based on sales demand, trends and forecastsGenerate and manage purchase orders in line with company needs and budgetsBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliersMonitor supplier performance to ensure on–time deliveries and adherence to quality standardsActively chase and follow up on outstanding or delayed ordersResolve supplier issues promptly and professionallyForecast demand using historical data, trends, and sales inputMaintain optimal stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockoutsConduct regular stock checks and participate in inventory auditsAnalyse and report on stock movement and purchasing KPIsRequirements:

Experience in stock planning, purchasing, or supply chain, ideally in wholesale or packagingProficient in inventory / procurement systems (ERP, MRP)Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship–building skillsHighly organised with attention to detailAble to manage pressure and multiple prioritiesSkilled in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelKnowledge of international suppliers and importsCIPS qualification (or working towards it) is a plusCompany Benefits:
