Slitting Machine Operator
Location: Bradford
Hours: Hours: 36 hours per week – Alternating shifts
Early Shift: Mon–Thurs 06:30–14:00, Fri 06:30–12:30
Late Shift: Mon–Thurs 14:00–21:45, Fri 12:30–17:30
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Contract: Temp to Perm
Are you an experienced machine operator looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a well-established company in Bradford? We’re seeking a Slitting Machine Operator to join our Client’s production team, working alternating weekly shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Converting large widths of film to bespoke widths driven by customer demand.
Set/operate machinery (knives/tensions/speeds).
Comply with QC regulations.
Maintain machinery.
Adhere to ISO/BRC regulations.
Load machinery with raw material and off load finished product.
Monitor running machinery.
Inspect raw/finished product for defects and report accordingly.
Ensure machines are running to required speed (maximum throughputs).
Monitor waste (work efficiently).
General housekeeping.Requirements:
Working to meet customer demand and lead times.
Flexible, as the role requires being able to operate in 2 departments.
Maintain a high working standard.
Comply to company policies/procedures.
Work well under pressure.
React to any sudden demand/change in schedule.
This is a temp-to-perm role, meaning there is an opportunity for a permanent contract based on performance. xjnqpsq
